Martin Hudson MWThis blog started as a log of the wines tried during the period of lockdown from my local supermarkets, but will be expanded in future to include other local suppliers. I do not use a 100 point scoring system, because it gives a false sense of precision . My scoring is simple. POOR is a wine that is probably faulty. OK a technically sound wine that is rather unmemorable. GOOD something with some character and worth drinking. VERY GOOD a textbook example of the style. EXCEPTIONAL worth seeking out for the pleasure it gives. PRICE has an impact, so a £6 VERY GOOD wine is probably not as good in absolute terms as a £15 GOOD example. ArchivesNo Archives Categories |
